Narrative:

I was parked waiting for glider to be towed. I started engine and taxied toward position for tow. A few seconds later the ground opened beneath the right wheel. The hole was not visible as the grassy area appeared to be solid. The damage to the aircraft was a bent propeller. At this time the engine is being checked for damage. The grass area was our active runway for glider operation. The aircraft was being taxied very slowly at the time of incident. The sink hole was next to a drain that had caused the earth to collect at the bottom of drain. It has since been filled in.
