Narrative:

This is similar sounding call signs. This is an ongoing problem at the rdu facility. Last week we had a system error between 2 aircraft and I believe that the call signs had a contributing factor. Air carrier X has been approached on this subject several times and we have received no help in solving this problem. Last week we were lucky and the aircraft in question missed each other. Once you get 4 or 5 of these aircraft on your radar scope, the numbers run together on the scope and in your mind.
