Narrative:

Requested taxi from FBO on south side of airport to X aviation. Controller said 'taxi to X.' problem is the FBO I was going to is now called Y aviation which used to be X aviation. Taxiing to where I wanted to go requires crossing runway 8 in use as ILS/approach runway. The real X aviation is on the south side a short taxi from where I was. The controller was right because he thought I was just going down the ramp to Y. To go to where I was going I thought I had clearance to cross any runway to get there. I thoroughly checked for traffic each way before crossing because this airport is known to land aircraft both ways when the WX is good and no wind and the scheduled acrs are not operating yet. No aircraft were landing or taking off or even in the traffic pattern at the time and no conflicts were created. My real mistake was not clarifying my destination more by location such as 'west side' or verifying permission to cross an active runway. Also FBO names can be confusing. I will check my FBO book next time for sure!

Title: RPTR PLT REQUESTED TAXI TO A FUELING FACILITY ON THE ARPT, BUT HAD MISIDENTED THE CURRENT NAME OF THE FACILITY. GND CTLR CLRED HIM TO THE REQUESTED FACILITY WHICH WAS A SHORT DISTANCE AND THE RTE WAS VIA A TXWY. RPTR THOUGHT THE FACILITY WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ARPT, AND THINKING HE WAS CLRED TO IT, CROSSED RWYS ENRTE. RPTR SAYS HE SHOULD HAVE VERIFIED CLRNC TO CROSS RWYS.

Narrative: REQUESTED TAXI FROM FBO ON S SIDE OF ARPT TO X AVIATION. CTLR SAID 'TAXI TO X.' PROB IS THE FBO I WAS GOING TO IS NOW CALLED Y AVIATION WHICH USED TO BE X AVIATION. TAXIING TO WHERE I WANTED TO GO REQUIRES XING RWY 8 IN USE AS ILS/APCH RWY. THE REAL X AVIATION IS ON THE S SIDE A SHORT TAXI FROM WHERE I WAS. THE CTLR WAS RIGHT BECAUSE HE THOUGHT I WAS JUST GOING DOWN THE RAMP TO Y. TO GO TO WHERE I WAS GOING I THOUGHT I HAD CLRNC TO CROSS ANY RWY TO GET THERE. I THOROUGHLY CHKED FOR TFC EACH WAY BEFORE XING BECAUSE THIS ARPT IS KNOWN TO LAND ACFT BOTH WAYS WHEN THE WX IS GOOD AND NO WIND AND THE SCHEDULED ACRS ARE NOT OPERATING YET. NO ACFT WERE LNDG OR TAKING OFF OR EVEN IN THE TFC PATTERN AT THE TIME AND NO CONFLICTS WERE CREATED. MY REAL MISTAKE WAS NOT CLARIFYING MY DEST MORE BY LOCATION SUCH AS 'W SIDE' OR VERIFYING PERMISSION TO CROSS AN ACTIVE RWY. ALSO FBO NAMES CAN BE CONFUSING. I WILL CHK MY FBO BOOK NEXT TIME FOR SURE!
