Narrative:
Upon return to ord, we were informed that our aircraft was terminating for the evening. I was speaking to the mechanic and informing him that there were no new maintenance write-ups. No items had been submitted in the logbook, but I forgot to sign it off.

Title: AN ACR F100 CAPT STATES THAT HE FAILED TO SIGN OFF THE LOGBOOK WHEN HE TURNED THE ACFT OVER TO MAINT.
Narrative: UPON RETURN TO ORD, WE WERE INFORMED THAT OUR ACFT WAS TERMINATING FOR THE EVENING. I WAS SPEAKING TO THE MECH AND INFORMING HIM THAT THERE WERE NO NEW MAINT WRITE-UPS. NO ITEMS HAD BEEN SUBMITTED IN THE LOGBOOK, BUT I FORGOT TO SIGN IT OFF.
