Narrative:

ATC facility: bos approach control. Location: ILS runway 33L logan. Missed approach at ILS runway 33L logan below 2000 ft due to cessna dead stick. In right turn told aircraft crashed and logan closed for 30 mins at least, fuel 8000 pounds no alternate filed. Divert to pvd 40 NM away. Cockpit load very high, 4000 ft. Approach plates, tune identify, FMC data, vox to pvd operations of type aircraft ETA hull #, approach control, configure, land safe with 7000 pounds. No time to decide if pvd suitable B757 airport, right on nose straight-in ILS runway 23, loaded up crew. Next airport hartford another 35 NM away and would have involved us overflying perfectly good airport.

NO TIME TO DECIDE IF PVD SUITABLE B757 ARPT, RIGHT ON NOSE STRAIGHT-IN ILS RWY 23, LOADED UP CREW. NEXT ARPT HARTFORD ANOTHER 35 NM AWAY AND WOULD HAVE INVOLVED US OVERFLYING PERFECTLY GOOD ARPT.
