Narrative:

On a daily basis, as part of our opening checklists, we are required to contact the contract WX office located at los angeles airport to do an altimeter check prior to doing our WX observation and opening. Since the NWS was contracted, we have received very poor service. They are staffed with only one person in the am and will not take our calls between XX45 and XX55 because they are doing their WX. This is the same time we do ours, and without the altimeter check we don't know if we are giving accurate information.
