Narrative:

We were conducting a visual approach to runway 29 at oak airport. Passing through approximately 1200 ft we were alerted by TCASII 'traffic.' we could not obtain visual contact. At 1100 ft we acquired an RA 'climb.' we climbed immediately per TCASII avoidance procedures and advised ATC. Once we pitched up TCASII then advised 'clear of conflict.' being in a position to continue a stabilized approach we elected to continue. Approximately 950 ft again TCASII alerted us to another RA to 'climb.' we climbed again and then elected to execute a go around. At no time did we or the tower observe any conflicting traffic. Landed with no further conflict. Oak tower later indicated there had been previous occurrences in that area. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated the TCASII target was displayed in front of the aircraft but did not recall the distance as the evasive action maneuver brought a clear of conflict report. Reporter learned that an airport supervisor at the approach end of the runway on the local control frequency did not observe any traffic for the reporter's aircraft. Reporter stated that this was the TCASII RA evasive action maneuver since flying the B737-300.

Title: RPTR STATED EVASIVE ACTION WAS TAKEN TWICE AFTER RECEIVING TCASII RA AND TFC WAS NOT SIGHTED. FLT EXECUTED A GAR AFTER THE SECOND RA.

Narrative: WE WERE CONDUCTING A VISUAL APCH TO RWY 29 AT OAK ARPT. PASSING THROUGH APPROX 1200 FT WE WERE ALERTED BY TCASII 'TFC.' WE COULD NOT OBTAIN VISUAL CONTACT. AT 1100 FT WE ACQUIRED AN RA 'CLB.' WE CLBED IMMEDIATELY PER TCASII AVOIDANCE PROCS AND ADVISED ATC. ONCE WE PITCHED UP TCASII THEN ADVISED 'CLR OF CONFLICT.' BEING IN A POS TO CONTINUE A STABILIZED APCH WE ELECTED TO CONTINUE. APPROX 950 FT AGAIN TCASII ALERTED US TO ANOTHER RA TO 'CLB.' WE CLBED AGAIN AND THEN ELECTED TO EXECUTE A GAR. AT NO TIME DID WE OR THE TWR OBSERVE ANY CONFLICTING TFC. LANDED WITH NO FURTHER CONFLICT. OAK TWR LATER INDICATED THERE HAD BEEN PREVIOUS OCCURRENCES IN THAT AREA. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED THE TCASII TARGET WAS DISPLAYED IN FRONT OF THE ACFT BUT DID NOT RECALL THE DISTANCE AS THE EVASIVE ACTION MANEUVER BROUGHT A CLR OF CONFLICT RPT. RPTR LEARNED THAT AN ARPT SUPVR AT THE APCH END OF THE RWY ON THE LCL CTL FREQ DID NOT OBSERVE ANY TFC FOR THE RPTR'S ACFT. RPTR STATED THAT THIS WAS THE TCASII RA EVASIVE ACTION MANEUVER SINCE FLYING THE B737-300.
