Narrative:

Captain was taxiing aircraft while I was performing the taxi checklist items. I had my eyes temporarily diverted from the taxiway as I was pulling a circuit breaker for a current limiter check. I looked up and saw that the captain had taxied onto the active runway without a clearance. As I called this to his attention, he had already recognized his mistake and was turning off the runway. No other aircraft were departing or arriving at the time.
