Narrative:

Was making flight towards slc. I was aware of class B airspace altitudes and I flew to avoid it. I went north of a section that is between 9000-10000 ft and came in under it and landed. I believe I was out of it, but I may have nipped the edge of it. I did not have a mode C transponder but believe I'm ok since my flight path did not require one. During my flight I passed several aircraft at my altitude with plenty of separation but I'm concerned the FAA could interpret this as operating in a hazardous manner.
