Narrative:

While avoiding massive area of thunderstorms in north florida and the pan handle, we inadvertently flew more than 50 mi offshore without part 121 required rafts and equipment. All aircraft were deviating through the same area because the WX area had no gaps. We should have paid more attention to our distance from shore or we should have asked ATC to provide vectors to keep us within 50 mi. Our dispatch department has real-time satellite photos and should have anticipated this problem with WX deviations.

Title: AN ACR LGT WAS FORCED TO FLY OUTSIDE 50 MI OVER THE ATLANTIC TO AVOID TSTMS. IT DID NOT HAVE THE REQUIRED OVERWATER FLOTATION EQUIP ABOARD.

Narrative: WHILE AVOIDING MASSIVE AREA OF TSTMS IN NORTH FLORIDA AND THE PAN HANDLE, WE INADVERTENTLY FLEW MORE THAN 50 MI OFFSHORE WITHOUT PART 121 REQUIRED RAFTS AND EQUIP. ALL ACFT WERE DEVIATING THROUGH THE SAME AREA BECAUSE THE WX AREA HAD NO GAPS. WE SHOULD HAVE PAID MORE ATTN TO OUR DISTANCE FROM SHORE OR WE SHOULD HAVE ASKED ATC TO PROVIDE VECTORS TO KEEP US WITHIN 50 MI. OUR DISPATCH DEPT HAS REAL-TIME SATELLITE PHOTOS AND SHOULD HAVE ANTICIPATED THIS PROB WITH WX DEVS.
