Narrative:

I am the mechanic for this aircraft. A pilot was hauling skydivers to an altitude of 10000 ft AGL. After pilot released skydivers, the in-flight jump door departed the aircraft cutting the wing, fuel cell, and bending the flap. I believe the pilot was exceeding the operating limitations of the door with it still open. I believe the pilot is an accident waiting to happen. This aircraft has been operating with an in-flight door for 6 yrs, approximately 1800 hours, and many different pilots. This pilot managed to shear off 30 -- 1/8 inch rivets, damaging the aircraft.
