Narrative:

Flight was from fpo to mco. Approaching vero beach we were told mco was closed due to WX, hold northwest on vrb 300 degree radial, efc in 20 mins. We went into holding and calculated our divert fuel to our alternate, mlb. Approximately 7 mins before we hit our divert fuel number, ATC informed us our efc had been extended for another 20 mins. Obviously that wouldn't work, so we informed ATC we wished to divert to our alternate, mlb. This we did, and shut down the engines with approximately 800 pounds of fuel remaining. Normal fuel reserve at end of flight for this aircraft is 500 pounds, so we were doing ok for gas.
