Narrative:

During takeoff at lga runway 31, captain takeoff, maximum power utilized, it was observed that aircraft had reached a point with approximately 2500-2000 ft remaining and airspeed 10-15 KTS below V1. Engines had attained programmed maximum power and stable. I deemed it necessary to continue takeoff but was compelled to turn off autothrottles and advance power above maximum power. Left engine achieved approximately 2.03 EPR right engine approximately 2.01 EPR. Left engine egt observed approximately 615 engine approximately 580 rankin (right). After which normal takeoff was made with power reduction approximately 20 seconds later. Flight was continued with discussion concerning engine limits. Being that observed egt for both within limits to continue, made decision to continue to dfw. During course of flight I felt it prudent to pass incident and engine performance to dispatch and technician in order to be on the conservative side of safety. After talking to technician it was recommended that we land for maintenance check. Aircraft diverted to bna where uneventful landing was made.

Title: ACFT EQUIP PROB. ENGS NOT DEVELOPING MAX PWR DURING TKOF ROLL. AUTOTHROTTLES TURNED OFF AND PWR ADVANCED ABOVE MAX. FLT CONTINUED, BUT THEN DIVERTED AFTER CONSULTING WITH COMPANY MAINT.

Narrative: DURING TKOF AT LGA RWY 31, CAPT TKOF, MAX PWR UTILIZED, IT WAS OBSERVED THAT ACFT HAD REACHED A POINT WITH APPROX 2500-2000 FT REMAINING AND AIRSPD 10-15 KTS BELOW V1. ENGS HAD ATTAINED PROGRAMMED MAX PWR AND STABLE. I DEEMED IT NECESSARY TO CONTINUE TKOF BUT WAS COMPELLED TO TURN OFF AUTOTHROTTLES AND ADVANCE PWR ABOVE MAX PWR. L ENG ACHIEVED APPROX 2.03 EPR R ENG APPROX 2.01 EPR. L ENG EGT OBSERVED APPROX 615 ENG APPROX 580 RANKIN (R). AFTER WHICH NORMAL TKOF WAS MADE WITH PWR REDUCTION APPROX 20 SECONDS LATER. FLT WAS CONTINUED WITH DISCUSSION CONCERNING ENG LIMITS. BEING THAT OBSERVED EGT FOR BOTH WITHIN LIMITS TO CONTINUE, MADE DECISION TO CONTINUE TO DFW. DURING COURSE OF FLT I FELT IT PRUDENT TO PASS INCIDENT AND ENG PERFORMANCE TO DISPATCH AND TECHNICIAN IN ORDER TO BE ON THE CONSERVATIVE SIDE OF SAFETY. AFTER TALKING TO TECHNICIAN IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT WE LAND FOR MAINT CHK. ACFT DIVERTED TO BNA WHERE UNEVENTFUL LNDG WAS MADE.
