Narrative:
During a busy departure push we lost channel a of our radar. Channel B was released for maintenance. We went to fll radar and 5 mins later it failed. For 15 mins we had no radar. I believe that the radar should be released for maintenance only during midnight shifts.

Title: FACILITY HAD NO RADAR FOR 15 MINS WHEN CHANNEL A FAILED DURING PERIOD WHEN CHANNEL B WAS RELEASED TO MAINT AND SUBSEQUENT USE OF OTHER RADAR SYS FAILED AFTER 5 MINS.
Narrative: DURING A BUSY DEP PUSH WE LOST CHANNEL A OF OUR RADAR. CHANNEL B WAS RELEASED FOR MAINT. WE WENT TO FLL RADAR AND 5 MINS LATER IT FAILED. FOR 15 MINS WE HAD NO RADAR. I BELIEVE THAT THE RADAR SHOULD BE RELEASED FOR MAINT ONLY DURING MIDNIGHT SHIFTS.
