Narrative:

In level cruise flight at FL260 the TCASII gave us a TA. The aircraft was climbing under us from the aircraft right 2 O'clock position. The TA turned into an RA 'climb, climb.' we climbed to FL270 and followed TCASII commands. Advised ATC. She said the aircraft was climbing to FL250. When once clear of conflict, descended back to FL260.

Title: TCASII RA. FLC FOLLOWED TCASII COMMAND TO CLB. ALERT CAUSED BY ACFT CLBING UNDER RPTR ACFT. ATC DIDN'T NOTIFY FLC OF POSSIBLE TCASII.

Narrative: IN LEVEL CRUISE FLT AT FL260 THE TCASII GAVE US A TA. THE ACFT WAS CLBING UNDER US FROM THE ACFT R 2 O'CLOCK POS. THE TA TURNED INTO AN RA 'CLB, CLB.' WE CLBED TO FL270 AND FOLLOWED TCASII COMMANDS. ADVISED ATC. SHE SAID THE ACFT WAS CLBING TO FL250. WHEN ONCE CLR OF CONFLICT, DSNDED BACK TO FL260.
