Narrative:

While leveling at 6000 ft, I was handed off to another controller. In the process of switching radios I missed my leveloff and continued to about 6200 ft. I noticed my error and immediately corrected. No conflicts were encountered. Better scan would have prevented the problem.

Title: CORP PLT FAILED TO LEVEL AT ASSIGNED ALT WHEN GIVEN A NEW FREQ.

Narrative: WHILE LEVELING AT 6000 FT, I WAS HANDED OFF TO ANOTHER CTLR. IN THE PROCESS OF SWITCHING RADIOS I MISSED MY LEVELOFF AND CONTINUED TO ABOUT 6200 FT. I NOTICED MY ERROR AND IMMEDIATELY CORRECTED. NO CONFLICTS WERE ENCOUNTERED. BETTER SCAN WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THE PROB.
