Narrative:
Captain was making a PA and I was handling the radios and flying the aircraft. ATC gave us a restr to cross 65 mi north of shb at FL240. I entered the restr into the FMS and became distraction by thunderstorms in our area and failed to press execute on the FMS. I was late descending and ATC asked us if we would make the restr. I passed FL260 at 65 mi. ATC informed us there was no traffic conflict. I had been off the airplane for 9 months and had just finished requalification.
