Narrative:
Clearance issued cross alb VORTAC at FL240. Started descent and was switched to next controller. Was told (or thought was told) 'delete alb restr, descend, maintain FL220.' responded descend FL220. 6 mi out of alb VORTAC center asked 'are you going to meet alb restr.' we replied, 'no, thought you said delete alb restr.' center replied 'I said meet restr.' problem -- thought he said delete when what he said meet. We were at FL250 over alb VORTAC.

RESPONDED DSND FL220. 6 MI OUT OF ALB VORTAC CTR ASKED 'ARE YOU GOING TO MEET ALB RESTR.' WE REPLIED, 'NO, THOUGHT YOU SAID DELETE ALB RESTR.' CTR REPLIED 'I SAID MEET RESTR.' PROB -- THOUGHT HE SAID DELETE WHEN WHAT HE SAID MEET. WE WERE AT FL250 OVER ALB VORTAC.
