Narrative:
My student and I were flying the ILS back course to abe. This was the first time I used NOAA plates. Up until now I used commercial. I incorrectly idented the final approach fix and descended 2 or 3 mi early. After the trip I had time to review the flight and found the problem.

Narrative: MY STUDENT AND I WERE FLYING THE ILS BACK COURSE TO ABE. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I USED NOAA PLATES. UP UNTIL NOW I USED COMMERCIAL. I INCORRECTLY IDENTED THE FINAL APCH FIX AND DSNDED 2 OR 3 MI EARLY. AFTER THE TRIP I HAD TIME TO REVIEW THE FLT AND FOUND THE PROB.
