Narrative:

After an aborted takeoff I asked permission to taxi back to runway 29R and was instructed to contact ground control on 120.9. When I realized that I was still on the tower frequency I changed to ground control as instructed. I did not hear the hold short instructions. As you will note while listening to the tape, all instructions given by the tower are read back by the pilots, my instructions included. Unfortunately, while I did not hear the hold short instructions and did not acknowledge them, they were not repeated by the tower.

Title: RPTR APPARENTLY SENT A TAPE OF TWR-GND CTLR XMISSIONS AND RPTR SAYS THAT ALL INSTRUCTIONS PLUS READBACKS ARE ON THE TAPE, HIS INCLUDED. EVIDENTLY, TWR TOLD RPTR TO HOLD SHORT, BUT HE DIDN'T HEAR IT NOR READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BACK TO HOLD SHORT. IF NO HOLD SHORT WAS READ BACK, THEN TWR WAS ALSO REMISS IN NOT INSURING RPTR KNEW THE INSTRUCTIONS.

Narrative: AFTER AN ABORTED TKOF I ASKED PERMISSION TO TAXI BACK TO RWY 29R AND WAS INSTRUCTED TO CONTACT GND CTL ON 120.9. WHEN I REALIZED THAT I WAS STILL ON THE TWR FREQ I CHANGED TO GND CTL AS INSTRUCTED. I DID NOT HEAR THE HOLD SHORT INSTRUCTIONS. AS YOU WILL NOTE WHILE LISTENING TO THE TAPE, ALL INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BY THE TWR ARE READ BACK BY THE PLTS, MY INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED. UNFORTUNATELY, WHILE I DID NOT HEAR THE HOLD SHORT INSTRUCTIONS AND DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THEM, THEY WERE NOT REPEATED BY THE TWR.
