While on vectors for approach to parallel runway, aircraft got TCASII RA from traffic landing on another parallel runway. Approach control said there was no conflict.

Narrative:
Location: 10 NM north of dfw. On arrival we were vectored at 4000 ft across the approach to runways 17 for a visual to runway 18R. As we were cleared for a visual to runway 18R and descending out of 4000 ft TCASII issued a traffic warning TA not RA for an aircraft going to runway 17C crossing behind us with a vertical separation 800 ft, 2-3 mi behind us. Dfw approach called our position to the other aircraft. On landing I called dfw approach and the controller felt no traffic conflict existed.

AS WE WERE CLRED FOR A VISUAL TO RWY 18R AND DSNDING OUT OF 4000 FT TCASII ISSUED A TFC WARNING TA NOT RA FOR AN ACFT GOING TO RWY 17C XING BEHIND US WITH A VERT SEPARATION 800 FT, 2-3 MI BEHIND US. DFW APCH CALLED OUR POS TO THE OTHER ACFT. ON LNDG I CALLED DFW APCH AND THE CTLR FELT NO TFC CONFLICT EXISTED.
