An air carrier flight crew reported that they never received a frequency handoff. When they discovered the problem they contacted center, were told that they were in a warning area, and given a vector away from the airspace.

Narrative:
En route on radar vector from ZDC to hobee intersection. Never received frequency handoff. When discovered, we contacted ZJX. They told us we were in warning area, to turn 40 degrees left and contact ZMA. ZMA said there was no problem.
