Narrative:
Air carrier X was climbing through approximately 5700 ft when he reported receiving an 'RA.' air carrier X stopped his climb at 6200 ft MSL and passed under a traffic watch cessna, level at 6600 ft MSL. After the 2 aircraft passed air carrier X descended to 6000 ft MSL. This error occurred due to my failure to pay close attention to the traffic situation during a slow time of day.
