Narrative:

After checking in with approach control they instructed us to slow to 210 KTS, and turn left at 10 DME fix to 085 degree heading for downwind. We proceeded in toward iah with a stuck microphone. Approaching the 10 DME fix thinking it was quiet and not yet cleared down to 6000 ft. We checked with approach control to find out we had a hot microphone. We turned north. They cleared us down into the pattern for an uneventful landing with no known conflict. We put the write-up in the book and went on.
