Narrative:

Aircraft on takeoff experienced right engine fire warning and immediately returned to field. Aircraft was overweight for landing at approximately 107000 pounds. The bleed air duct was repaired and the overweight inspection was accomplished and not logged in logbook. Aircraft left on revenue flight. Aircraft was being worked past normal shift into overtime through breaks and lunch period non stop. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter contacted to obtain information on aircraft type -- DC9. Reporter mechanic said he was exhausted from working non stop on the aircraft repair and just forgot to log the repair in the book.
