Narrative:

Climbing to 13000 ft out of ord. Assigned heading 360 degrees, speed 250 KTS. Given heading 320 degrees. While in turn copilot and myself negotiating to get headed toward paris. Given heading 360 degrees, speed 270 KTS. While reversing course setting heading and speed, was probably passing through 13000 ft. When scan resumed passing 13400 ft. Stopped altitude at 13500 ft. Rapidly returned to 13000 ft. Doing too many things at the same time. Supplemental information from acn 329691: captain hand flying aircraft called and asked for a right turn around aircraft ahead. I was setting heading of 330 degrees. Departure control called back with new heading of 360 degrees and 270 KTS speed and frequency change when the altitude warning sounded and first officer and I both said altitude and captain returned to 13000 ft. Supplemental information from acn 329593: prior to completion of the initial turn a right turn to 360 degrees and a frequency change was given. During this the captain was flying and the first officer gave the 12000 ft for 13000 ft callout.
