Narrative:

I picked up my IFR clearance in the air with detroit approach. I was given a heading and altitude of 3000 ft. I misheard the barometer setting of 29.60 and thought I heard 30.60. I was at 2000 ft for about 3 mi when the controller corrected the problem. I reset the altimeter and climbed, without any other problems. The flight was uneventful and landed at ptk.
