Narrative:

While on a VFR flight from billings, mt, to hollister, ca, I in error flew through R-4813 northeast of fallon NAS. I was using a hand-held GPS for navigation and had planned to go north of bam to llc and then direct to hollister. In error I inserted hzn instead of llc in my GPS and as a result I flew through R-4813 at 10500 ft MSL. This was called to my attention by a military jet flying in tight formation on my right wingtip for about 20-30 seconds. I waved to the pilot to acknowledge his intercept, after which he pulled up and rolled over the top of me out of sight. I then tuned my VOR to llc and discovered I was 22 mi directly abeam of llc and in the middle of R-4813. At that point the most direct way out was to continue on course to hzn. I was monitoring the ZOA frequency for current altimeter settings (128.8).
