An MD80 flight crew received a clearance from ground controller to cross a taxiway after a sbound FK10. After reaching the intersection, the flight crew did not see the FK10 and continued across the taxiway. The ground controller supervisor queried the flight crew. Taxi sequence disregarded.

Narrative:
Taxiing in at dfw and cleared to cross taxiway K at taxiway K5 after a sbound FK10. When we arrived at taxiway K5, no FK10 in sight so we taxied into ramp. Ground supervisor came on and said we taxied without clearance. We apologized and that seemed like the end of it. I should have asked first.

Narrative: TAXIING IN AT DFW AND CLRED TO CROSS TXWY K AT TXWY K5 AFTER A SBOUND FK10. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT TXWY K5, NO FK10 IN SIGHT SO WE TAXIED INTO RAMP. GND SUPVR CAME ON AND SAID WE TAXIED WITHOUT CLRNC. WE APOLOGIZED AND THAT SEEMED LIKE THE END OF IT. I SHOULD HAVE ASKED FIRST.
