Narrative:

Possible clearance deviation. Cleared amber 300 as filed, sju-jfk, FL310, mach 80. Contacted commercial radio approaching kraft on HF 6577 with estimate for kraft, holma and champ. SELCAL check good, maintained listening watch on 130.55 VHF. Over pulls intersection called commercial radio to revise ETA over holma due to increased headwinds. Communications normal. Called commercial radio again over waitt intersection again to revise ETA over champ intersection. Communication normal. Was advised by commercial radio that they had been trying to contact us on SELCAL to no avail. Tried 2 SELCAL checks then switched frequencys to 2887, SELCAL, we then requested SELCAL check on 6577 and then established communication on 2887. All SELCAL checks failed. No call or relay was received on 130.55. Approximately 5 mins later we established contact with ZNY on 132.15. No mention of any problems.

SELCAL CHK GOOD, MAINTAINED LISTENING WATCH ON 130.55 VHF. OVER PULLS INTXN CALLED COMMERCIAL RADIO TO REVISE ETA OVER HOLMA DUE TO INCREASED HEADWINDS. COMS NORMAL. CALLED COMMERCIAL RADIO AGAIN OVER WAITT INTXN AGAIN TO REVISE ETA OVER CHAMP INTXN. COM NORMAL. WAS ADVISED BY COMMERCIAL RADIO THAT THEY HAD BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT US ON SELCAL TO NO AVAIL. TRIED 2 SELCAL CHKS THEN SWITCHED FREQS TO 2887, SELCAL, WE THEN REQUESTED SELCAL CHK ON 6577 AND THEN ESTABLISHED COM ON 2887. ALL SELCAL CHKS FAILED. NO CALL OR RELAY WAS RECEIVED ON 130.55. APPROX 5 MINS LATER WE ESTABLISHED CONTACT WITH ZNY ON 132.15. NO MENTION OF ANY PROBS.
