Narrative:

During takeoff roll at approximately 140 KTS, experienced an aircraft vibration followed by a bang. Continued a normal takeoff. Once airborne, 'right landing gear' indicated green light out, 'right gear unsafe' red light illuminated, and 'gear door open' amber light out. Clt tower reported what appeared to be part of 1 tire and a small amount of fiberglass on runway. Did not raise gear, accomplished emergency checklist, declared an emergency, notified clt operations, and returned to land at clt. Stopped aircraft on runway and had maintenance inspect aircraft. They indicated the #3 main landing gear tire blew and the aircraft could be taxied to the gate. All company procedures and FARS were complied with. Upon arrival at the gate an appropriate logbook entry was made.
