Narrative:

The aft flight attendant jump seat was placarded as being inoperative. I was aware of the situation and the limitations and knew that a passenger seat near this exit must be marked for flight attendant use only. This was no problem on the first 2 legs since we were not full. However, on the 3RD leg we filled the plane and my flight attendant had to situation on the broken seat for takeoff. I didn't find out about this until 30 mins after takeoff. For landing I had the flight attendant situation on the forward flight attendant jump seat. The situation was then fixed by marking a passenger seat 'for flight attendant use only' and contacting flight control to determine why we were allowed to fill the plane and not leave a seat available for the rear flight attendant.
