Narrative:

Sinus blockage during descent caused enough pain to completely distract pilot. After being told to 'make a straight in approach for runway 3' by abq approach, the pilot switched frequencys to notify ground cargo operator of arrival at which time facial pain distracted enough so that I did not switch back to approach, and therefore was never handed off to abq tower and landed without a landing clearance. When nearing the turnoff taxiway I noticed the situation and called ground control. They advised me they had tried to contact me but said nothing more. Before the flight I had no problems with my sinuses or any other indication I would. ATC should have been notified of my situation and the descent shallowed.
