Narrative:

Altitude deviation due to TCASII. Numerous TCASII alerts upon arrival at dfw runway 17L. The first commanded a climb which we responded to. ATC was partially blocked by TCASII. Then ATC assigned a heading of 180 degrees. Soon after another RA from TCASII occurred commanding a descent. Following the TCASII caused an altitude deviation of about 400 ft. Once clear of conflict a return to 3000 ft was accomplished followed by a normal landing at dfw.
