Narrative:

Inbound to bos on gardner 2 arrival past lobby intersection. As we approached 'rever' the autoplt began to turn to bos because LNAV was active. Since bos was landing on runway 27, this did not seem right so when the frequency cleared, I told approach we were turning to bos unless he wanted something else. He said turn to 100 degrees and that previous controller had given us 'present heading for vectors.' if this was true both of us did not hear nor acknowledge those instructions. Suggest a note on GDM2 at rever to expect a heading if landing runway 27 or other times they do not want us to go to bos.
