Small aircraft told to hold short of runway 35 on runway 05 after his landing roll. While holding on runway 05 the tower cleared a cessna to land on runway 05 behind the holding small aircraft. After the cessna cleared the runway at taxiway a the small aircraft was cleared to taxi to the ramp northeast of the end of runway 05. No explanation given for the hold clearance originally given.

Narrative:
I was cleared to land runway 05, read back clearance, landed and rolled to a position slightly northeast of taxiway east on runway 05. Kalamazoo tower called small aircraft X 'hold short of runway 35 on runway 05.' I read back this instruction and held short of runway 35 on runway 05. I made 2 calls to the tower 'kalamazoo tower, small aircraft X holding short of runway 35 on runway 05.' looking back I saw a cessna turn final and land on runway 05 behind my aircraft. This aircraft turned off on taxiway a and taxied toward the FBO. Only after the other aircraft landed and turned off was I cleared to cross runway 35 turn left at the end and taxi to school ramp. I read back this instruction taxied to the ramp and shut down.

I READ BACK THIS INSTRUCTION AND HELD SHORT OF RWY 35 ON RWY 05. I MADE 2 CALLS TO THE TWR 'KALAMAZOO TWR, SMA X HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 35 ON RWY 05.' LOOKING BACK I SAW A CESSNA TURN FINAL AND LAND ON RWY 05 BEHIND MY ACFT. THIS ACFT TURNED OFF ON TXWY A AND TAXIED TOWARD THE FBO. ONLY AFTER THE OTHER ACFT LANDED AND TURNED OFF WAS I CLRED TO CROSS RWY 35 TURN L AT THE END AND TAXI TO SCHOOL RAMP. I READ BACK THIS INSTRUCTION TAXIED TO THE RAMP AND SHUT DOWN.
