Narrative:
We were given a clearance to 5000 ft passing 5800-5700 ft, approach told us we were only cleared to 6000 ft. We read back 5000 ft. I am positive the controller did clear us to 5000 ft. I believe it was his mistake.

Narrative: WE WERE GIVEN A CLRNC TO 5000 FT PASSING 5800-5700 FT, APCH TOLD US WE WERE ONLY CLRED TO 6000 FT. WE READ BACK 5000 FT. I AM POSITIVE THE CTLR DID CLR US TO 5000 FT. I BELIEVE IT WAS HIS MISTAKE.
