Narrative:

On IFR flight from st petersburg, fl, to ft lauderdale (executive), while on V97 at 5000 ft, miami directed me to vector to V157. V157 is defined by a radial from dolphin VOR 87 NM south of thndr intersection. The airway is not defined otherwise or by a VOR at the other end. The current chart, L19, effective nov/xx/95, shows the radial for V157 as 335 degrees, and V97 as 332. Degrees because of this seemingly obvious error, I was confused as to the proper course. After some discourse with the controller, I asked for vectors, which were given, later, on the ground, the measured radials should be approximately as follows: V157, 335 degrees, V97, 321 degrees. These wrong course labels could be potentially hazardous.

Title: PLT NAV CONFUSION DUE TO AIRWAY CHART.

Narrative: ON IFR FLT FROM ST PETERSBURG, FL, TO FT LAUDERDALE (EXECUTIVE), WHILE ON V97 AT 5000 FT, MIAMI DIRECTED ME TO VECTOR TO V157. V157 IS DEFINED BY A RADIAL FROM DOLPHIN VOR 87 NM S OF THNDR INTXN. THE AIRWAY IS NOT DEFINED OTHERWISE OR BY A VOR AT THE OTHER END. THE CURRENT CHART, L19, EFFECTIVE NOV/XX/95, SHOWS THE RADIAL FOR V157 AS 335 DEGS, AND V97 AS 332. DEGS BECAUSE OF THIS SEEMINGLY OBVIOUS ERROR, I WAS CONFUSED AS TO THE PROPER COURSE. AFTER SOME DISCOURSE WITH THE CTLR, I ASKED FOR VECTORS, WHICH WERE GIVEN, LATER, ON THE GND, THE MEASURED RADIALS SHOULD BE APPROXIMATELY AS FOLLOWS: V157, 335 DEGS, V97, 321 DEGS. THESE WRONG COURSE LABELS COULD BE POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS.
