Departed runway 9L instructed to turn heading 075 degrees, contact departure. Departure control issued TA. Heads-up jump seating pilot pointed out traffic. TCASII TA followed immediately by RA. Increased climb rate to evade. Sbound helicopter at approximately 1000 ft AGL passed within 200 ft below. We owe a thank-you to the jump seat pilot for his alert response in pointing out a dangerous conflict.
