Narrative:

I had not been in sea in a long time. Flight was cleared from cargo ramp to taxi to runway 34L and to hold short of runway 34R. I do not recall being told to switch to tower at the hold short line. I taxied down the parallel and turned the corner at taxiway Q not realizing I was going past the hold short line at the entrance to the taxiway. I was applying the brakes to hold short of runway 34R and my copilot also applied some brake pressure not knowing if I, indeed was going to hold short. We did hold short of the runway 34R. Ground control came up and said we had just caused a go around for an aircraft on a 2 mi final. I apologized to ground and told him we were indeed holding short of the runway. A hold short line is usually short of the runway on the taxiway. This hold short line was at the entrance to the taxiway. This hold short line was being idented by lights apparently on their lowest setting. The hold short line for runway 34L was being idented by lights on their brightest setting. I should have reviewed and familiarized myself with the airport again since I had not been there in a long time. I either missed or was not given a frequency change to the tower by ground control. The tower, seeing us make the right turn onto the taxiway going by the hold short line and not knowing if we were, in fact, going to stop short of runway 34R told the landing traffic to go around. As you well know, it took a combination of events and factors to cause this near runway incursion and actual go around.

Title: FLC OF A WDB FAILED TO HOLD SHORT OF THE RWY AT THE HOLD SHORT LINE CAUSING TWR TO SEND ANOTHER ACFT AROUND.

Narrative: I HAD NOT BEEN IN SEA IN A LONG TIME. FLT WAS CLRED FROM CARGO RAMP TO TAXI TO RWY 34L AND TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 34R. I DO NOT RECALL BEING TOLD TO SWITCH TO TWR AT THE HOLD SHORT LINE. I TAXIED DOWN THE PARALLEL AND TURNED THE CORNER AT TXWY Q NOT REALIZING I WAS GOING PAST THE HOLD SHORT LINE AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE TXWY. I WAS APPLYING THE BRAKES TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 34R AND MY COPLT ALSO APPLIED SOME BRAKE PRESSURE NOT KNOWING IF I, INDEED WAS GOING TO HOLD SHORT. WE DID HOLD SHORT OF THE RWY 34R. GND CTL CAME UP AND SAID WE HAD JUST CAUSED A GAR FOR AN ACFT ON A 2 MI FINAL. I APOLOGIZED TO GND AND TOLD HIM WE WERE INDEED HOLDING SHORT OF THE RWY. A HOLD SHORT LINE IS USUALLY SHORT OF THE RWY ON THE TXWY. THIS HOLD SHORT LINE WAS AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE TXWY. THIS HOLD SHORT LINE WAS BEING IDENTED BY LIGHTS APPARENTLY ON THEIR LOWEST SETTING. THE HOLD SHORT LINE FOR RWY 34L WAS BEING IDENTED BY LIGHTS ON THEIR BRIGHTEST SETTING. I SHOULD HAVE REVIEWED AND FAMILIARIZED MYSELF WITH THE ARPT AGAIN SINCE I HAD NOT BEEN THERE IN A LONG TIME. I EITHER MISSED OR WAS NOT GIVEN A FREQ CHANGE TO THE TWR BY GND CTL. THE TWR, SEEING US MAKE THE R TURN ONTO THE TXWY GOING BY THE HOLD SHORT LINE AND NOT KNOWING IF WE WERE, IN FACT, GOING TO STOP SHORT OF RWY 34R TOLD THE LNDG TFC TO GAR. AS YOU WELL KNOW, IT TOOK A COMBINATION OF EVENTS AND FACTORS TO CAUSE THIS NEAR RWY INCURSION AND ACTUAL GAR.
