Narrative:

Descent below class B airspace on approach to runway 27R. At phl we were cleared for a visual about 14 mi out. Shortly after clearing us for the visual approach asked us to expedite to 2000 ft. The first officer was flying and he complied by selecting level change. I began checking my 10-1T chart but by the time I found it we were close to the floor of the class B airspace. We had gone through it about a half mi outside the next ring. I am concerned by this not only because it put the aircraft in unprotected airspace but also required I divert my attention from traffic watch at a critical time. In the future I will not accept a clearance to expedite descent while in class B airspace.
