Narrative:

On the morning of oct/sun/95 I obtained a WX briefing for a VFR flight from ttn to ash through the nyc VFR corridor. After the WX portion the briefer issued NOTAMS for my route of flight. The briefer stated that temporary airspace restrs would be in effect for the VFR corridor starting oct/mon/95. The briefer stated that no restrs were in effect on the oct/sun/95 the day of my departure. I departed ttn at XA45 am local and entered the VFR corridor at about XB10 am. Shortly thereafter I was told over the advisory frequency to contact (newark tower)? On (126.05)? I'm not exactly sure it was newark, the ATC facility advised me that I was indeed in violation of a temporary airspace restr. I acknowledged and continued en route as I had already passed through the restr airspace. Once back in nashua I checked NOTAMS again via duat and saw the NOTAM was in effect for sunday. The cause of the problem was related possibly to a lack of communication and a misreading of the computer models by the FSS briefer. In the future, on my part, if I suspect a NOTAM may be in place but is told no, I may check another source such as duat or another briefing. In the future the FSS briefer should pay closer attention to the specific dates of NOTAMS. In addition, picking up flight following prior to entering the corridor may have helped curve me from the temporary restr. Millville FSS has saved a copy of the WX briefing at my request. The manager there confirmed my allegation.

Title: UNAUTH PENETRATION OF OTHER SPECIAL USE AIRSPACE BY SMA ON VFR XCOUNTRY.

I DEPARTED TTN AT XA45 AM LCL AND ENTERED THE VFR CORRIDOR AT ABOUT XB10 AM. SHORTLY THEREAFTER I WAS TOLD OVER THE ADVISORY FREQ TO CONTACT (NEWARK TWR)? ON (126.05)? I'M NOT EXACTLY SURE IT WAS NEWARK, THE ATC FACILITY ADVISED ME THAT I WAS INDEED IN VIOLATION OF A TEMPORARY AIRSPACE RESTR. I ACKNOWLEDGED AND CONTINUED ENRTE AS I HAD ALREADY PASSED THROUGH THE RESTR AIRSPACE. ONCE BACK IN NASHUA I CHKED NOTAMS AGAIN VIA DUAT AND SAW THE NOTAM WAS IN EFFECT FOR SUNDAY. THE CAUSE OF THE PROB WAS RELATED POSSIBLY TO A LACK OF COM AND A MISREADING OF THE COMPUTER MODELS BY THE FSS BRIEFER. IN THE FUTURE, ON MY PART, IF I SUSPECT A NOTAM MAY BE IN PLACE BUT IS TOLD NO, I MAY CHK ANOTHER SOURCE SUCH AS DUAT OR ANOTHER BRIEFING. IN THE FUTURE THE FSS BRIEFER SHOULD PAY CLOSER ATTN TO THE SPECIFIC DATES OF NOTAMS. IN ADDITION, PICKING UP FLT FOLLOWING PRIOR TO ENTERING THE CORRIDOR MAY HAVE HELPED CURVE ME FROM THE TEMPORARY RESTR. MILLVILLE FSS HAS SAVED A COPY OF THE WX BRIEFING AT MY REQUEST. THE MGR THERE CONFIRMED MY ALLEGATION.
