Narrative:

Citabria CH7ECA tail dragger. Following 3 touch and goes at the san carlos airport (runway 30) (no wind) I planned a fourth landing to a full stop. After wheel landing (only the mains) I slowed the plane down using brakes. The tail began to settle down when I braked hard to try and make the first taxiway. Because the tail was not fully down, and my forward speed was almost nothing (power was completely retarded) I nosed over and came to rest with the spinner in the asphalt. I immediately turned off all power in the plane. After getting out of the plane, I also shut off the fuel flow. Some gas was coming out of the overflow vents at the top of the aircraft. Several people arrived and quickly pushed the plane back onto its landing gear. The plane was then pushed over to its tiedown spot. Damage included a dented and scraped spinner, propeller tips were bent but appear repairable (the engine was at idle), the wheel parts were scraped and one cracked. The cause of the mishap was my over braking before the tail was completely on the ground. This occurred because I tried to make the first taxiway. I've since rechked out in another citabria with an instructor. My moment of inattn was a contributing factor. I've also been flying planes with tricycle gear which could have given me the wrong perception for taxiing out of habit.

Title: PLT OF A TAIL WHEEL ACFT NOSED OVER DURING THE END OF THE LNDG ROLL.

Narrative: CITABRIA CH7ECA TAIL DRAGGER. FOLLOWING 3 TOUCH AND GOES AT THE SAN CARLOS ARPT (RWY 30) (NO WIND) I PLANNED A FOURTH LNDG TO A FULL STOP. AFTER WHEEL LNDG (ONLY THE MAINS) I SLOWED THE PLANE DOWN USING BRAKES. THE TAIL BEGAN TO SETTLE DOWN WHEN I BRAKED HARD TO TRY AND MAKE THE FIRST TXWY. BECAUSE THE TAIL WAS NOT FULLY DOWN, AND MY FORWARD SPD WAS ALMOST NOTHING (PWR WAS COMPLETELY RETARDED) I NOSED OVER AND CAME TO REST WITH THE SPINNER IN THE ASPHALT. I IMMEDIATELY TURNED OFF ALL PWR IN THE PLANE. AFTER GETTING OUT OF THE PLANE, I ALSO SHUT OFF THE FUEL FLOW. SOME GAS WAS COMING OUT OF THE OVERFLOW VENTS AT THE TOP OF THE ACFT. SEVERAL PEOPLE ARRIVED AND QUICKLY PUSHED THE PLANE BACK ONTO ITS LNDG GEAR. THE PLANE WAS THEN PUSHED OVER TO ITS TIEDOWN SPOT. DAMAGE INCLUDED A DENTED AND SCRAPED SPINNER, PROP TIPS WERE BENT BUT APPEAR REPAIRABLE (THE ENG WAS AT IDLE), THE WHEEL PARTS WERE SCRAPED AND ONE CRACKED. THE CAUSE OF THE MISHAP WAS MY OVER BRAKING BEFORE THE TAIL WAS COMPLETELY ON THE GND. THIS OCCURRED BECAUSE I TRIED TO MAKE THE FIRST TXWY.
