Narrative:

As part of takeoff clearance from runway 25R at lax, tower added that traffic off runway 25L was continuing straight out, keep him in sight, cleared for takeoff, winds are etc. I don't know if the length of the transmission caused the confusion or just fatigue but we didn't turn when we should have. It was the laxx 2 departure. At the smo 160 degree radial we should have turned to 220 degrees. We did not. The captain and flight engineer thought the tower told us to go straight out in our takeoff clearance. I thought we should have turned, I just simply forgot. Tower switched us to socal approach (departure). Socal approach simply told us to turn to a heading. No comment about our departure/track was made.

Title: WDB ACFT FAILS TO TURN AS PRESCRIBED ON SID.

Narrative: AS PART OF TKOF CLRNC FROM RWY 25R AT LAX, TWR ADDED THAT TFC OFF RWY 25L WAS CONTINUING STRAIGHT OUT, KEEP HIM IN SIGHT, CLRED FOR TKOF, WINDS ARE ETC. I DON'T KNOW IF THE LENGTH OF THE XMISSION CAUSED THE CONFUSION OR JUST FATIGUE BUT WE DIDN'T TURN WHEN WE SHOULD HAVE. IT WAS THE LAXX 2 DEP. AT THE SMO 160 DEG RADIAL WE SHOULD HAVE TURNED TO 220 DEGS. WE DID NOT. THE CAPT AND FE THOUGHT THE TWR TOLD US TO GO STRAIGHT OUT IN OUR TKOF CLRNC. I THOUGHT WE SHOULD HAVE TURNED, I JUST SIMPLY FORGOT. TWR SWITCHED US TO SOCAL APCH (DEP). SOCAL APCH SIMPLY TOLD US TO TURN TO A HDG. NO COMMENT ABOUT OUR DEP/TRACK WAS MADE.
