Narrative:

I was rolling to wings level lined up with runway 22 when a C-130 crossed my path below and in front of me. I never heard him on the radio and when I landed the fixed based operator told me, 'those guys never announce their presence or position on the radio.' he said he never heard him. He said the army chopper pilots call on unicom, but the C-130's out of mansfield never do. I think they should plan their low level precision navigation flts to avoid the traffic patterns of uncontrolled airports. They should announce their presence on appropriate unicom frequencys when near uncontrolled airports.

THEY SHOULD ANNOUNCE THEIR PRESENCE ON APPROPRIATE UNICOM FREQS WHEN NEAR UNCTLED ARPTS.
