Narrative:

While at cruise at altitude as PNF I noted to PIC altitude was approaching 300 ft off assigned. PIC responded 'strong updraft.' ATC notified us of deviation of more than 300 ft, I gave the radio to PIC to respond. He asked for block altitude but did not receive one prior to altitude deviation. The aircraft was at 10600 ft (600 ft high) for a short time.

Narrative: WHILE AT CRUISE AT ALT AS PNF I NOTED TO PIC ALT WAS APCHING 300 FT OFF ASSIGNED. PIC RESPONDED 'STRONG UPDRAFT.'
