Narrative:
Following contact with lihue tower upon entering the lih class D airspace at kilohana crater, I noticed another aircraft turning left in front of me head on. I started a descent from 1500 ft MSL to avoid the other aircraft. Call made to other aircraft as advisory. Passed below other aircraft, continued descent to 1000 ft MSL.

Narrative: FOLLOWING CONTACT WITH LIHUE TWR UPON ENTERING THE LIH CLASS D AIRSPACE AT KILOHANA CRATER, I NOTICED ANOTHER ACFT TURNING L IN FRONT OF ME HEAD ON. I STARTED A DSCNT FROM 1500 FT MSL TO AVOID THE OTHER ACFT. CALL MADE TO OTHER ACFT AS ADVISORY. PASSED BELOW OTHER ACFT, CONTINUED DSCNT TO 1000 FT MSL.
