Narrative:

On jun/sun/95 while descending for landing at sdf, a pilot occupying the fourth jump seat at the rear of the aircraft was observed standing while the seat belt sign was 'on.' the incident was observed by an off duty FAA inspector, riding as a ticketed passenger, and reported to the cockpit crew upon landing at sdf. Flight attendants were asked to insure individuals occupying that seat were reminded to observe the warning signs, and senior staff were briefed on the event.

Title: OFF-DUTY FAA INSPECTOR COUNSELED ACR FLC REGARDING PAX OBSERVANCE AND CABIN CREW ENFORCEMENT OF FASTEN SEAT BELT SIGNS.

Narrative: ON JUN/SUN/95 WHILE DSNDING FOR LNDG AT SDF, A PLT OCCUPYING THE FOURTH JUMP SEAT AT THE REAR OF THE ACFT WAS OBSERVED STANDING WHILE THE SEAT BELT SIGN WAS 'ON.' THE INCIDENT WAS OBSERVED BY AN OFF DUTY FAA INSPECTOR, RIDING AS A TICKETED PAX, AND RPTED TO THE COCKPIT CREW UPON LNDG AT SDF. FLT ATTENDANTS WERE ASKED TO INSURE INDIVIDUALS OCCUPYING THAT SEAT WERE REMINDED TO OBSERVE THE WARNING SIGNS, AND SENIOR STAFF WERE BRIEFED ON THE EVENT.
