Narrative:

During initial phase of our ILS runway 3 to lynchburg we were being vectored by ZDC. The controller gave us a vector and cleared up for the approach. As I turned the aircraft I realized we were above GS at full deflection and localizer was centered. So we proceeded to catch the GS causing rapid descent which made the proximity devices go off causing distraction. Near decision ht approach was stabilized and we landed realizing we did not contact the tower. Center never handed off to the tower either. After contacting the tower they indicated our embarrassment was punishment enough.
