Narrative:

I was flying a practice NDB approach to runway 16R at pae. Runway 34L was in use (wind 340 degrees at 5 KTS) and there was other traffic in the pattern. I had already flown 2 ILS runway 16R approachs and asked for and received a touch-and-go on runway 16R on the first one (traffic did not allow this on the second). After reporting ritts inbound and descending to MDA, I asked the tower for a touch-and-go on runway 34R (but I meant runway 16R). The tower asked me if I meant runway 34L (control), and I said I meant runway 16R. I was cleared for runway 16R. I don't understand why I asked for the wrong runway. The only thing I can think of is listening to the tower talking to other traffic may have influenced me.

Title: PLT WAS CONFUSED BY RADIO TFC AND MISCOM REQUEST FOR WRONG RWY.

Narrative: I WAS FLYING A PRACTICE NDB APCH TO RWY 16R AT PAE. RWY 34L WAS IN USE (WIND 340 DEGS AT 5 KTS) AND THERE WAS OTHER TFC IN THE PATTERN. I HAD ALREADY FLOWN 2 ILS RWY 16R APCHS AND ASKED FOR AND RECEIVED A TOUCH-AND-GO ON RWY 16R ON THE FIRST ONE (TFC DID NOT ALLOW THIS ON THE SECOND). AFTER RPTING RITTS INBOUND AND DSNDING TO MDA, I ASKED THE TWR FOR A TOUCH-AND-GO ON RWY 34R (BUT I MEANT RWY 16R). THE TWR ASKED ME IF I MEANT RWY 34L (CTL), AND I SAID I MEANT RWY 16R. I WAS CLRED FOR RWY 16R. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY I ASKED FOR THE WRONG RWY. THE ONLY THING I CAN THINK OF IS LISTENING TO THE TWR TALKING TO OTHER TFC MAY HAVE INFLUENCED ME.
